Proving Grounds is the public competition circuit — the regular events where teams and athletes earn the ranking points that build the Crucible title picture. Two formats run through the season.
Format 01 · Team Events
5v5 Team Brackets
Sixteen teams across two mats, split into two eight-team brackets — Blue Belt & Under, and All Levels. Eligible athletes can enter both. Teams are built around five athletes (substitute rules to be confirmed). You fight through the bracket, and every result moves your team's standing and your own ranking at the same time.
Format 02 · Ranking Days
Individual Ladders
Athletes are grouped by experience — Under 2 years, Under 5 years, Over 5 years, and an Open / Advanced class where needed. Round-robin where the numbers allow, pools into finals when they don't. Every match you take feeds your public ranking — the more you compete, the clearer your standing.
How You Climb
Win and you rise. Consistency, wins, and pressure performances build contender status. The top of the rankings earns the title shots, four-man tournaments, eliminators, and team finals that happen at The Crucible — so every Proving Grounds match is a step toward the lights.
